FAQ – weddings

I totally understand the desire to have the digital files from your wedding day, allowing you to post on social media and share with your friends and family. So I include digital files in most of our packages. However I also offer a package without them, for those who prefer a traditional wedding album instead. I strongly recommend that even if you think you just want digital files, you also have your wedding images created into a beautiful heirloom album that you can pass down through the generations. I offer a package which includes both the digital files and a gorgeous wedding album. So you get the best of both worlds!

I like to keep things fairly simple with wedding packages. Packages include either digital files, an heirloom album, or both. Additional items available include engagement announcements, save-the-date cards, personalised guest books, slideshows, wedding websites, parent albums, and wall art for your home. You can also choose to add on an Engagement session, a Boudoir session, and a Trash the Dress session.

Whilst I strongly believe in quality over quantity, I understand some couples are worried about how many images they will receive from their wedding day. My aim is to capture the important moments in the day, as well as capture the little details that you have spent months planning. I aim to tell a complete story of your wedding day in images you will treasure forever. I aim to encapsulate everything that made your day so special. I prefer to focus on that, rather than worry about taking a certain amount of photos.

I know you'll be super excited to see your wedding photos. Typically, I like to have them ready for you within two weeks of your wedding day.

I believe in making life easy for my wedding couples, so after the wedding day, I pre-design your wedding album, selecting the best images to help tell a story of your special day. Before the album is printed, you review and approve the design, making any necessary changes. I have found that wedding couples are usually thrilled with the design and don't need to make any changes. Once approved the album is sent off to the printers, and is then ready for collection (or delivered to your home) six weeks later.

Absolutely, 100%! I have photographed destination weddings in the UK, Canada, Australia, Denmark, and the Caribbean. So whether your wedding is local, interstate or international I’m happy to discuss pricing options with you.

Absolutely! In fact I encourage all my couples to arrange a quick catch up before the wedding day. If you are flying in from overseas we can always arrange a Skype chat instead. I also offer Engagement sessions as a way for us to get to know each other, ensuring you are relaxed in front of the camera on your wedding day.

Wedding photography is the longest lasting decision that you will invest in for your wedding day, and therefore choosing your photographer is one of the most important decisions you make when planning your wedding day. The dress sits in the closet, the flowers die, the cake is eaten, and the music ends. What is left to cherish after your wedding day is your wonderful new marriage, and your beautiful photographs. I'm honoured that you are considering me to be your wedding photographer. I offer a range of packages based on hours of wedding day coverage, ranging from as little as a couple of hours, to full day coverage. Prices start at USD $350. As soon as you know your date! I take bookings as far as two years in advance. One year in advance is typically when most people book, six months or less is getting a little risky, as your date may already be booked by another lucky bride, but still give it a shot. Contact me to see if your date is still available.

I'm honoured that you have chosen me to be your wedding photographer. Weddings are such romantic occasions! To book me for your wedding day, we need to first confirm that I am available on your wedding date. Once that is confirmed, you simply select your chosen package, complete the booking form, read and sign the contract, and pay a 50% retainer. The remaining balance is due four weeks prior to your wedding date. Then it's time to feel the excitement, the nervousness, the anticipation and exhilaration of your wedding day!

Probably not... so don't let the name fool you. Your dress usually looks as good as new after a quick dry-clean! The idea behind a Trash the Dress session is for you to be able to relax, have fun, and create stunning images to add to your Wedding album, without the pressure of keeping your dress perfectly clean for the Reception. You choose how adventurous you want to be! If you wish to incorporate mud, paint, food, or coloured powder, please be aware that these may not come out of your dress, even if you have it dry-cleaned. However, if you choose a water based photo session at the beach, river or a lake, even salt water usually comes out with a good rinse and dry-clean.

The options are endless, and only limited by your imagination. Living on a tropical island, the beach is often a popular choice. However, you could choose to have your session in the rainforest, beside a waterfall, in a stately home, jumping out of an airplane*, at a nature reserve, inside a cave, at the go-carting track, riding horses through the fields, at an ancient ruin, or even underneath the stars!
